One of the men accused of murdering soccer star Senzo Meyiwa claims he was assaulted and tortured into signing a confession statement, yet he opened no criminal cases against his alleged tormentors.
The five men charged with the 2014 murder of the former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper are currently on trial in the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.
The trial has reached a crucial stage where the state wants to admit confession statements by two of the accused, Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya and Bongani Ntanzi.
