The City of Johannesburg has been interdicted from disconnecting a resident's water and electricity after years of the woman trying to resolve the matter of her unreasonably high utility bills.
Sharise Ackerman turned to the court after seven years of trying to get the City to explain the arbitrary billing amounts and after several warnings that her water and electricity would be cut off.
The Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg ordered that the parties meet after 30 days, from the 5 April judgment, to iron out the billing.
