Eight heavily armed Special Task Force members burst into Sergeant Qhamani Welfare Maninjwa's home, and allegedly beat him so savagely with knobkerries and sjamboks that he spent several days in ICU - but, he says, they raided the wrong home.

Now, the East Rand police officer wants his colleagues to face justice.

Maninjwa's eight-month-old son was also admitted to hospital after inhaling teargas that the men had thrown inside the house.
