The University of Cape Town (UCT) has officially begun the search for a new vice-chancellor, following Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng's departure earlier this year amid a serious governance crisis.
UCT spokesperson Elijah Moholola said in a statement on Thursday that the advert for the VC's role was published online on Tuesday, 19 December.
The incumbent will succeed interim vice-chancellor, Emeritus Professor Daya Reddy, who took over after Phakeng's exit on 3 March.
