A North-West University (NWU) student was hospitalised after being hit by a car driven by another student escaping violent protests at the institution's Vanderbijlpark campus earlier this week.
Another student who was struck in the same incident did not sustain injuries.
Allegations circulated on social media, after the event, alleging it was racially motivated.
