A Cape Town family had the shock of their lives when a venomous Cape cobra slithered into their Fresnaye home and then made its way into the garage where their gym is – and comfortably coiled up on a yoga mat.

Speaking to News24, Claudia Palmer said her 14-year-old daughter Ava was the first to encounter the reptile outside their home last Thursday.
