Although she was initially disappointed in herself after seeing her matric results, it didn't stop young Kholeka Ndlovu from Umlazi, Durban, achieving her dream of working with animals.
Studying marine biology was no longer a possibility for her, but after some deep introspection, a profound realisation dawned upon her: "Why not pursue [another] career that accompanies my love for animals and farm life?"
"I loved the idea of being an entrepreneur, so after my matriculation year, I didn't know what to do… for three years, I worked at my father's liquor store," she said.
