Kingsway’s top matric results

KINGSWAY High School’s class of 2018 achieved a 97,5% pass, with 150 pupils achieving a bachelor’s pass, 35 achieving a diploma pass and seven achieving a higher certificate pass.

A total of 329 subject distinctions were achieved. Twenty-three pupils achieved an A aggregate (80% and above) with four of these achieving above 90%; 47 pupils achieved a B aggregate (70% and above) and 59 achieved a C aggregate (60% and above).

Six pupils achieved seven distinctions, five pupils achieved six distinctions, eight pupils achieved five distinctions and 10 pupils achieved four distinctions.

KINGSWAY HIGH’S TOP PUPILS WERE:

1. Nishen Naidoo, seven distinctions, Ave 92,9%.

2. Kimera Bechan, seven distinctions, Ave 92%.

3. Kimara Singh, seven distinctions, Ave 91,3%.

4. Keldon Hirallal, six distinctions, Ave 89,3%.

5. Kailin Reddy, seven distinctions, Ave 89%.

6. Asanda Ntobela, six distinctions, Ave 88%.

7. Verusha Govender, seven distinctions, Ave 87,4%.

8. Zama Mbanjwa, six distinctions, Ave 87,3%.

9. Yatra Roopnarian, six distinctions, Ave 86,4%.

10. Anele Dlungwane, five distinctions, Ave 85,7%.

The top subject marks are as follows: Kimara Singh who scored 92 in English and 95 in life orientation, Nishen Naidoo who scored 95 in Afrikaans and 97 in physical sciences, Anele Dlungwane who scored 95 in IsiZulu, Keldon Hiralall who scored 96 in maths, Kimera Bechan who scored 92 in life sciences and 98 in accounting, Yatra Roopnarain who scored 97 in history, Kailin Reddy who scored 97 in Eng, graphic design, Kaedyn Naicker who scored 89 in visual arts, Zama Mbanjwa who scored 95 in bus. studies, Nobuhle Makhonza and Anele Dlungwane who scored 90 in dramatic arts, and Shaun Schoeman who scored 90 in CAT.
