WARM GREETINGS TO THE KOKSTAD COMMUNITY AND COMMUNITY AT LARGE!

CONDOLENCES TO UMZIMVUBU LOCAL MUNICIPALITY

The Greater Kokstad Municipality learned with great shock, the sad news of the passing on of the Mayor of the Umzimvubu Local Municipality, Councillor BP Mabhengu. Our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and comrades. To the Alfred Nzo District Municipality, in particular Umzimvubu local Municipality and its entire community, may you find strength during this difficult time. The sad news has touched the entire local government. May her soul rest in peace.

MAYOR’S CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS

The Mayor, Councillor BM Mtolo and councillors of Greater Kokstad Municipality celebrated their Christmas with special groups on Tuesday, where the focus was on the children, and on Wednesday the focus was on elderly and people living with disabilities. GKM council handed over Christmas hampers to 20 families per ward. Four NPO’s received equipment for their daily work including washing machines and dryers, lawnmowers, baking equipment an embroidery machine was donated for a youth project. Joy was the order of the day to all those families including child-headed families as well. The Mayor wished the Kokstad community a happy Christmas and a prosperous 2019 on behalf of the Greater Kokstad Municipality.

SERVICE POINTS FOR PAYMENT OF MUNICIPAL SERVICES

This is a reminder of the alternative pay points other than Municipal offices. GKM residents are advised to make use of the following outlets to pay for Municipal services: Pick ‘n Pay, FNB and PEP STORES. This will assist you to pay for municipal services during the busy festive season and beyond.

Please take note that Municipal offices will close at 12 pm on December 24 and December 31, 2018 for Christmas and New Year. Essential services departments will have staff on standby to assist. Further take not that electrical faults and emergencies must be reported to 039 727 5733 after hours. Till next time…..
