Efforts by Israel's Western allies to talk it down from a significant attack on Iran appear to be failing, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday directly rejecting their counsel.
"I thank our friends for their support in defence of Israel... in both words and deeds," Netanyahu said at the start of a government meeting, according to a translation by his office.
"They also have all kinds of suggestions and advice, which I appreciate; however, I would also like to clarify: We will make our decisions ourselves."
