CNN's Aly Vance in Cape Town for 'fantastic' race season | News24

British sports presenter and journalist Aly Vance is CNN International's host of Winning Post - the network's monthly horse racing show. Vance recently attended the Queen's Plate in Cape Town, the inaugural CTS Million Dollar Race (Africa's richest horse race) and will cover this weekend's legendary J&B Met for international viewers.

We sat down with Aly to get her views on horse racing in Africa.

Vance, a former international athlete, is an experienced presenter who has worked for a range of broadcasters including BBC, Sky Sports, BT Sport and Channel 4.

Vance's experience in sports presenting and production includes expertise in horse racing, equestrian, triathlon and sailing. As a professional athlete, Vance represented Great Britain in Modern Pentathlon and after graduating from Oxford University, she was part of the GB Olympic squad in the build-up to Beijing in 2008.

Aly also evented internationally and is still a keen rider.
