Cape Town - University of Pretoria head coach Sammy Troughton has confirmed that the club are not interested in signing SuperSport United midfielder Michael Morton.
Reports have suggested that Platinum Stars and AmaTuks have shown interest in recruiting the 26-year old, who recently completed his first season in Tshwane with Matsatsantsa.
Troughton though did admit that they might have a look at Morton if the former Maritzburg United captain is offered to the club.
"First I hear of that, Michael Morton, a defensive midfielder. We have Ronald Ketjijere, [Vuyisile] Ntombayithethi can do that job, [Mpho] Maruping can do that job," said Troughton.
"I don't know, I haven't heard of any offer, I'm not sure if he is for sale so I can't answer that question.
"I couldn't see serious consideration, but if something does come onto the table we will have a look at it."
Tuks open their league season with a trip to Golden Arrows on August 9.
