Emergency services are still on the scene of an accident on the MR559.
The road between Saldanha and Langebaan, the MR559, remains closed as emergency service clear the scene of an accident.
Traffic has been rerouted for the past few hours after an accident just past the bridge close to the entrance of Sunrise Energy, on Friday (24 November). According to reports a vehicle left the road after a collision. According to police spokesperson, Captain Tania Helfrich, one person was declared dead on the scene.
It appears two vehicles were involved but the detail of the collision is unknown.
Road users are urged to use an alternative route when travelling between Langebaan and Saldanha.
