A fire broke out on the slopes above Scarborough, Cape Town, in the early hours of Monday morning, and was spreading towards the Ocean View informal settlement.
We spoke to nervous Ocean View residents, as well as the Fire Manager for the Table Mountain National Park, Philip Prins - who referred to the blaze as 'uncontained'. Prins also commented on reports that these fires were started deliberately.
